Ouida Y.
Vendryes
An expert in
mediation and dispute resolution, Ms. Vendryes is the president
of Resolution Management, a business consulting firm. The mission
of the firm is to strengthen the way people work together to meet
performance and business goals. Through her interventions, her clients
have strengthened their ability to resolve conflict, build productive
relations, and reduce the
legal and financial costs of workplace disputes. Ms Vendryes is
a certified Mediator who has empowered parties toward mutually agreeable
settlements in a variety of conflict situations.
Notably she
has been recognized by her ability to resolve labor-management differences
with clients such as The United States Postal Service, Catholic
Medical Center/ Local 803, and Beth Israel Medical Center/Local
1199 in New York. In addition, she has successfully implemented
management development programs for a full spectrum of organizations
with clients such as: Cornell University, Blue Cross/Blue Shield,
Touro Law Center, Covenant House New York, training and development
programs in Conflict Management, Mediation, Sexual Harassment, Team
Building, Managing Diversity, Customer Service, Communication and
Time Management, She customizes all of her training programs to
meet the needs of her clients.
Ms. Vendryes
has been consistently in demand to present key topics of interest
to management, labor unions and human resource professionals. For
example, over the past 5 years, she has presented Consolidated Edison's
Relationships By Objective Seminar, which
has helped the company to strengthen labor-management relations
by producing an action plan that facilitates day-to-day collaboration.
In 1997 Ms. Vendryes designed, developed and delivered the core
Trainer Development program for the American
Society for Training and Development. This implementation from initial
needs assessment through evaluation. As a featured presenter at
a host of conferences, she is noted for her leading-edge approaches
to improving individual and organizational performances in today's
diverse workplace. Most recently her firm was selected to design,
develop and launch the first Labor/Management Team Building Train-the-Trainer
program for Local 1199 in New York. This exciting program promises
to transform labor/management relations in the hospital industry
for the new millennium.
Ouida holds
a Master of Science degree in Education from Brooklyn College, and
is an adjunct instructor at Cornell University. As a certified Mediator,
she is a member of Mediation Training International's global network
of consultants who are specifically qualified to handle labor management
disputes.
