Diversity Awareness Training Program

As the dramatic shift to a highly diverse workforce continues, organizations, large and small, know they must do a better job of helping all workers understand, accept, and capitalize on differences. They know the cultural backgrounds and experiences of diverse employees, and customers, can deeply enrich the organization, making it more innovative and globally competitive. Changes in employment practices require the rapid adjustment of employers and employees. Given the reality of individual uniqueness in the workplace, the Building Bridges to Understanding Seminar is designed to assess the perceptions, values, and behaviors we embrace in the work groups and individual work settings.

Training Objectives

Participants will:

  • Discover personal comfort levels with people who are different than you.
  • Understand the impact of your behavior on others.
  • Assess the accuracy of your knowledge about differences.
  • Reduce conflict & enhance teamwork.
  • Value diversity as a source of organizational strength.
  • Engage in exercises that will heighten ones understanding of Cultural Differences on the job.
